Frida Kahlo: Appearances Can Be Deceiving combined extensive research, custom exhibition design, and close cross-functional collaboration to bring one of the artist’s most personal collections to San Francisco. As Senior Exhibition Designer, I conducted research at Casa Azul in Mexico City, planned the exhibition narrative and gallery layout, designed custom casework and display systems, coordinated object information from numerous lenders, and produced the fabrication and installation documentation that guided the project from concept through opening.
